What I did
Branding | Campaign
The Next Big Thing is a project designed to support people living with Type 2 diabetes, addressing the emotional challenges they often face. Many struggle with feelings of self-blame, judgement, and a sense that their bodies have let them down. My aim was to turn this narrative on its head, showing that they are deserving of care, respect, and understanding. By building a sense of community, the project creates a more hopeful outlook for the future of Type 2 diabetes treatments, using design to empower people and drive meaningful change.
To connect with the audience on a deeper level, I explored different copy lines and paired them with distinct photography styles to see what would resonate best. Each combination was designed to spark an emotional response and feel relatable. I then tested these ideas to gather feedback, focusing on how the words and visuals worked together to shift perceptions and create a sense of encouragement. This process helped refine the design into something that genuinely speaks to the people it’s for.
