For the Camp Bestival website redesign, I led the project from the initial UX review to the final UI design. The goal was to update the website while retaining a hint of the festival’s playful, illustrated character, and moving away from their previous design’s heavy reliance on illustrations. A key challenge was creating a flexible design that would work for both the Dorset and Shropshire locations while maintaining a cohesive brand identity for the festival as a whole. Additionally, the design had to work seamlessly for both festival locations, ensuring that the content could be easily adapted without losing the cohesive feel of the brand. I focused on simplifying the navigation to create a more enjoyable user experience while highlighting key event information and encouraging ticket purchases.
The final design presents a polished, modern website that stays true to Camp Bestival’s identity. By reducing the heavy use of illustrations and focusing on a cleaner, more flexible layout, the website feels fresh and easy to navigate, whether for the Dorset or Shropshire locations. The result is an engaging, functional platform that reflects the vibrant spirit of the festival, offering a seamless user experience across both locations.
